Bought By Many
My role: UX Review, UX Design, UI Design & Rapid Prototyping
Problem:
Bought By Many wants to attract the best talent and their jobs page is out of date and needs a refresh to show them off in their best light.
Goal: Show Bought By Many as a fun and attractive place to come and work whilst raising the hierarchy of their vacancies.
The Brief
To update the jobs page to using the latest fonts and colour scheme, showing both desktop and mobile designs. Prominence should be given to perks of working for Bought By Many and the vacancies that are available and also clear method to apply.
UX Review
I conducted an initial UX review of the existing jobs page. Both mobile and desktop did not to have clear information hierarchy with inconsistent CTAs. The existing site also had a bland look which did not promote Bought By Many as a fun place to work.
Improvements from the UX review:
- Moved a careers link to the top navigation bar from the footer
- Moved the main CTA's to the banner image, given them prominence in the design.
- Changed the content of the headers, added bite sized areas of text with clear CTA button to access more information.
- Created quick links using existing and sourced images making main areas of navigation easily accessible.
- Improved the design of each job post, including job name, salary, location and application closing date.
- Added a link for job seekers to leave details.
- Improved the benefits section, added images to compliment the best benefits.
BRAND IMAGES
After conducting a competitive analysis and some user research I discovered that prospective job seekers prefer to see the people they would be working with. I sourced several image libraries and found a theme for images that would make Bought By Many appear as a fun place to work.
ICONS
I used simple iconography to help users easily differentiate between each vacancy without necessarily having to read the full job spec.
